Abramson Church & Stave LLP has long been an active, influential contributor to the growth and development of the Salinas Valley, dating back to 1938 when Sidney Church began practicing law representing business owners and agricultural interests.

During the early years, Church joined with Jacob Abramson, and together they expanded into labor law and health care law. All the while, both stayed committed to serving the community, holding positions on public boards and participating in the Rotary Club of Salinas. The firm later brought on Andrew Church, then Joseph Stave, and over more than six decades, the firm hired additional attorneys, took on new partners and expanded the practice into a thriving full-service law firm.

AC&S grew to become one of the largest, most comprehensive firms on the Central Coast by providing the highest quality service and aiding clients with an ever increasing range of practice areas. Since inception, the firm has devoted its exceptional resources to supporting the community through helping develop and promote key institutions. In 1947 the firm helped establish Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System (formerly known as Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital District) as a “hospital in partnership with the community,” and ever since has acted as general counsel for Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System. The firm also assisted Eugene and Ercia Harden establish the charitable Harden Foundation in 1963 and still represents the foundation today.

Now with expertise in agricultural business, business law, estate planning, health care law, taxation, real property, public entities, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and labor and employment law, AC&S serves a broad variety of clients in the Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz county areas and beyond.
